Searching

To search Maps Online go to the Base maps search page of the main menu.

The best way to search this site is to use the main search filters on the right hand side of the page.

You can start a search by region or country. Click on a region name in the REGION box and the name will be highlighted at the top of the list. All maps found in this region will then appear in the thumbnail listing for previewing or downloading. Each map description is followed by a link to the corresponding country - by clicking the country name, the selection will be reduced to only maps relating to that country.

All countries included in the collection are listed alphabetically in one of three boxes - A-H, I-Q or R-Z. To search a specific country, click on a country name and it will be highlighted at the top of the list. All maps found in this country will then appear in the thumbnail listing for previewing or downloading. More than one country can be highlighted at any time.

The 'region' and 'country' filters are additive in their nature. If a region is selected only the countries within that region will be available for viewing.

The map selection can also be divided into a search by colour or black and white.

The dropdown at the top of the page can be used to find maps using specific tags. A search conducted using only the 'tags' filter will produce a listing selected from the entire map collection without being limited to region or country. This selection process is also additive and the result will be limited to maps connected to all nominated tags.

A map must match all filters to display.
