The ANU Indonesia Institute is hosting an interdisciplinary conference for students conducting Indonesia-related research at the postgraduate and honours level.
All postgraduate and honours students enrolled at ANU or other universities who are conducting research on Indonesia are encouraged to attend and present their research. The conference will provide an opportunity for students to share their research in a supportive environment, to learn about Indonesia-related research being conducted by other students, to meet and network with students with similar interests, and to gains insights into how to publish their work and build a professional research career.
Registration for the ANU Indonesia Institute Postgraduate Conference is free of charge.
ANU Indonesia experts will also be in attendance at the conference, and will chair panels and discuss papers. Staff members will also make presentations on topics such as: “Future Directions of Indonesian studies”, “Making a Career in Indonesian Studies”, “Getting Published” (details to be announced).

The Australian National University is a global centre of postgraduate research on Indonesia, and hosts students working across a wide array of disciplines including economics, anthropology, history, politics, forestry and environment, biology, archaeology, geology, etc. The ANU Indonesia Institute is hosted by the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific. The Institute aims to facilitate and increase coordination and visibility of Indonesia-related research, teaching and other activities among the various colleges and disciplines at ANU.
The conference will take place immediately before the ANU Indonesia Update, which will be held on 16-17 September on the topic of Gender Equality and Diversity in Indonesia: Identifying Progress and Challenges.
